We are pleased to invited you for the Short Term Exchange Program 2011 organized by Rotary club Epe and Rotary club Cuijk. We designed a challenging, varied and balanced program to give you in short term a good impression about the Netherlands.
There will be city trips, (sport)activities, museums, tour, theme park visits, and a wonderful sailing trip! And of course enough time to relax and stay with your host family.

Saturday 2 July 2011. Preferable between 9 AM and 17 PM. Airport Schiphol main airport. Eindhoven airport. Railway Utrecht central station. Rotary Club Epe representative will provide for welcome and escort service from airport/railway station. |

Introduction to north/east Netherlands and Sailing on Lake IJssel (IJsselmeer) |

1st week - Hosted by the Rotary club “Epe” and visiting several (cultural) viewpoints in the north/east part of The Netherlands. |

2nd week - Hosted bij the Rotary club Cuijk and making a sailing experience on lake IJssel (IJsselmeer or formerly Zuiderzee). |

1st week - Rotarian Epe Home stay. |

2nd week - Rotarian Cuijk home stay the first two days. Then five days of sailing experience. Hereafter lodging by Rotarians and say goodbye after the farewell party. |
All activities will be assisted by Rotarian members or sailing assistants. |

Closing event |

There will be a barbecue and farewell party at the closing of this international meeting between international cultures. |

Saturday 16 July, 2010. Preferably between 11 AM and 16 PM. Airport Schiphol main airport, Eindhoven airport, Railway Arnhem central station or Utrecht central station. Rotary Club Cuijk representative will provide escort service to airport/station. |

Before and during the stay we will provide every member an login code for an social media account. Like Facebook and/or Twitter. This way you will be able to communicate with other members (and your family during the stay) with messages and photographs. |

To the “Open Air museum” in Arnhem. The Netherlands Open Air Museum is a National museum focusing on the culture associated with the everyday lives of ordinary people. |

At morning “klootschieten” and the afternoon time for yourself. At evening meeting other Rotary members at our club meeting. Including a change of government. |

Visiting the famous Kröller-Müller museum, National Park The Hoge Veluwe and the St. Hubertus Hunting Lodge. |

Tour of the three provinces of Drenthe, Friesland and Flevoland (Polder). With visits to different interesting spots. At evening Pitch & Putt. |

Visiting an wastewater treatment facility at the “Waterschap” in Apeldoorn. Explanation about “fighting the water”. Afternoon free. At evening farewell party at the residence of an Rotarian |

During the sailing experience, along the coast of the lake Ijssel, several cities will be visited for musea and other cultural or educational viewpoints. There will be organised some visits to cities for fun (shopping and otherwise) at some relaxing moments. Hereafter lodging by Rotarians and say goodbye after the farewell party. |

Transfer to Airport or Railway station |
The sailing experience start in the northern part of the Netherlands on the sailing ship “Admiraal van Kinsbergen”. This ship is equipped with all sailing attributes and also a fuel driven motor to help out without wind. The ship is also equipped with 15 two person sleeping cabinets for the guests. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there is a convenient kitchen (kombuis) and a luxuoury dining room.This agenda is preliminary and subject to change.
