A stakeholder meeting was organized for stakeholders of the three schools under the Rotary School Wash Adoption Programme. It was comprised of headteachers of the three schools, teachers of Cheshe primary, SMC members as well as PTA members of Cheshe primary school.

The meeting started with an opening prayer after which the welcome address was given by the Chief Executive Officer and then went further to give a brief description of NewEnergy.

The CEO also went further to give an introduction to the Rotary School WASH Adoption Programme (RSWAP) where he wanted to find out from participants their understanding of a project. Some explanations were given as to what a project is and it was said that a project is a “collection of activities to be implemented by an organization or an individual within a given time and place”

The CEO of NewEnergy making the presentation.

He also explained to participants about the Vision of the project which is “Establishing long term relationships between schools in the Netherlands and school in Ghana. He also stressed on the relationship issue and said that the key element that keeps a relationship going is communication and that much of the work depends on the stakeholders to make the project a successful one

He also made it known to participants that they should develop the like for computer since we are now in the era of technology and we cannot do away with it. Also in his presentation, he mentioned of the long term commitment of the project which include continues monitoring, and operations and maintenance (O & M).

After the presentation, the floor was opened for questions and discussions.

A participant wanted to know if anything could be done about the time frame for the project and the response was that we should start and see what happens rather than saying the time is limited.

Another person also wanted to know what could be done about the kindergarten children since as at the time the data was being collected, the kindergarten was not yet established and the response was that they visit schools that have similar facilities and base on that to construct a suitable one for them.

In conclusion, the meeting was successful and lovely and we hope to organize a similar one at Garizegu R/C schools to enable the stakeholders of the school to also get an idea of what is going on.

The closing prayer was said and we went further to take a group photograph.
