General description about Football for Water

The Football for Water is a Public Private Partnership that aims to link WASH sectors proven capabilities with regard to WASH infrastructure provision with WASH actors to promote behaviour change amongst school children. Football for WASH will use top football players, World Coaches and school football clubs as a vehicle of promoting WASH activities in schools and neighbouring communities. The program will focus on harnessing coaches and top soccer players as ambassadors and school children as agents for WASH in Kenya, Ghana and Mozambique in order to make pupils and the neighbouring communities aware of the importance of WASH.

Partnership

A Company or organization in the Netherlands, Kenya, Mozambique or Ghana who would like to strengthen the consortium and the program of Football for WASH is requested to complete this Partner Application form in order to motivate and explain his added value to the existing program. The application form can be submitted to the PMO or CPC and will be discussed in the Steering Committee of the F4WASH program.

Rotary is an organization of service clubs known as Rotary Clubs located all over the world. It is a secular organization open to all persons regardless of race, color, creed or political preference. There are more than 32,000 clubs and over 1.2 million members world-wide. The members of Rotary Clubs are known as Rotarians. The stated purpose of the organization is to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Members usually meet weekly for breakfast, lunch or dinner, which is a social event as well as an opportunity to organize work on their service goals.
