JOINING ROTARY

Rotary is 1.2 million passionate individuals in 35,000+ clubs worldwide.
We are both an international organisation and a local community leader, dedicated to building a better world. Together we lead change in our own backyards and across the globe.

By adding your skills, experience, and enthusiasm to your club, you can advance communities at home and on a global scale and help Rotary make a lasting impact worldwide. Together, we can eradicate polio, train more skilled peacemakers, and provide lasting solutions for communities fighting disease, hunger, illiteracy, and poverty.

Through the Rotary community, you can exchange ideas and build lifelong friendships with like-minded people. You can take advantage of the resources and activities available through your club, district, and Rotary International to make your experience with Rotary both rewarding and fun.

HOW OUR MEMBERSHIP WORKS

Membership in a Rotary club is by invitation only. If you are interested in learning more about Rotary Club Hilversum International and becoming a member, this is how it works:

We contact you

A member of our membership committee will contact you by email or phone to discuss your interest in Rotary. If we are a good fit for each other you will be invited for an informal interview with the membership committee and to two club events, including a meeting, social event or service project as a volunteer to get to know our club better.

We invite you to join

Now that you have spent some time with our club and we’ve determined that we’re a good fit for each other, you will be invited to join. Each club has its own ways of welcoming new members; ours is a simple pinning ceremony, with plenty of cheers and a nice glass of wine to celebrate!

Get the most out of your membership by participating in club projects and activities.

Here are some ideas:

- Serve on a club committee where you can use your skills

- Identify a need in your community and suggest a hands-on project to address it

- Work with a youth service program sponsored by RCHI, such as Rotaract

- Recommend a colleague or friend for membership in our club
