I tried to phone you yesterday to tell you that Hessel and Stijn completed their stay here in Japan and left at 09:50am 2nd August to return to the Netherlands. Their exchange partners went with them on the same plane.

Hessel's partner was not able to host him for the whole time, so we had the pleasure of hosting him too. We really enjoyed his company and hope that we will be able to keep in contact.

Both boys had a wide variety of experiences and from what I could see, they really enjoyed themselves. They climbed Mt. Fuji, rode the bullet train "Shinkansen", visited museums, partook in a tea ceremony, visited temples, shrines, climbed the Tokyo Tower and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (one of the tallest in Japan) had the best seats at a huge fireworks display ......to name a few !

We hope that you will have some students wanting to come to Tokyo next year too !
